Why We Take Our Own X-Rays

Patients often ask: “Why do you insist on taking your own dental X-Rays?” Firstly- Many offices do not fully cooperate when copies are requested, even though required by law. Second- Many times, the X-Rays received from other dentists are of poor quality due to operator error, improper equipment settings, and/or poor duplicating technique. Valuable time is waisted when inadequate X-rays are received, only to have to take them over again ourselves to get quality images. Third, and finally, we use only the latest in digital and 3D digital X-Ray technology supervised by an experienced dental radiographer with a certificate from the State of Florida in dental radiography.
